One of the tough parts of being a product designer is that a LOT of your hard work goes unnoticed. No one remembers the hours spent designing, testing, and tweaking to get a product fit to go into production. Luckily we have a great group of guys that do this stuff not only because it pays the bills, but also because they love what they are doing. Our own J.R. had one of his newest products here at Eastwood get some limelight from the Editors at Popular Mechanics Magazine when they picked the Eastwood “Aerosol Injection” system for a 2011 SEMA Editors Choice Award. We are over the moon about this most recent notoriety, and can’t wait for our first batch to hit your hands. It really will make countless jobs in the shop, and around the house much easier. I know you’ll find new uses for it everyday!
Watch this space and our homepage for the full launch of our two new Aerosol Injection products late this year. It’s a must have!
Today was the last day of the show and we were still spotting cars we hadn’t seen! Some of the most interesting cars we spotted included a modern “Goat” made out of one of the new Chevy Camaros. Our Facebook fans had mixed feelings on it, but overall we think it was pretty “neat”!
We had a great time and have a ton of footage to edit and post from the show, so watch this space and our Facebook page for the footage we will be posting in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for watching!
Today was extremely busy at the show, word has spread about our Popular Mechanics Editors Choice Award and they were all checking out the new products we have in the pipeline. Overall it seems like everyone was very impressed and we are excited to launch it all to the public here shortly!
We are still blown away how many of the top SEMA show cars have Eastwood products on them! We have a bunch of show car video features in the works. Keep an eye out here, Facebook, and our YouTube channel for more on these cool rides!
One of my favorite customs from the show was Chip Foose’s custom Gull-winged Mercedes 300SL. The attention to detail and finish on this car was mind blowing. I spent quite a bit of time checking it out and it is pretty much perfect!
Here are the highlights from where we walked. You will notice quite a variety in these!
Day Four at SEMA 2011 and man is this place packed! We really hope that the turnout at the show this year is a reflection of how on-the-rise the automotive market is, especially customs and restos. Today we had Kevin Tetz from Trucks! stop by and we let him have one of the first chances to preview our new products coming out for 2012. Stay tuned for our “First Impressions” with Kevin here shortly!
Also here is the final coverage of the Firetruck “Hotrod” I was raving about earlier in the week. The video really shows how great these guys are, and how hard they worked on it. Check it out!
As always there is an endless supply of amazing show cars. Here is my highlights from day four at the show. Keep watching through Saturday!
Today was the first official opening day of SEMA 2011, but for Eastwood it is day 2. Every day it seems like new cars pop up, today was no different. As soon as we walked into the parking lot I spied an extra cool bare metal late 40′s Dodge (if you know anything about me I LOVE 40′s and 50′s Chrysler and Dodges). This thing has an insane amount of custom work and we were lucky enough to do an interview with one of the guys from Autocore Kustoms that is building it. Stay tuned for our video feature on the car later this week!
We also were flattered to be picked for a Popular Mechanics Magazine Editors Choice Award for one of our new Eastwood-engineered products. We are excited to launch to the public here soon, as the response from our peers was amazing!
Below are the highlights from todays show. Watch out for the pics and details from tomorrows show on our Facebook!
